Who Leads England
Osborne, like Cameron has no credibility after the campaign. Cannot run 'project fear' and then cheer investors up. Since BoJo, Gove, IDS etc. have quickly demonstrated that they have little clue; since PLP-v.-Corbyn has Labour distracted to uselessness; since the SNP is busy planning on exiting the UK; where the hell does England come up with any truly credible and truly capable leaders.
The time seems to call for a leader with the personal charisma of Johnson or Putin; yet with the diplomacy of Otto von Bismarck. I'm struggling to think of who might be on the back benches to fill that role.
While I like the honest social commitment of Corbyn, I agree that he has yet to show the range of skills, both public and within the halls of power, needed by whatever is to remain of the UK. Too bad Charles is not a bit of a demagogue... Seems like a mildly active Royalty would be an asset.
